Cordova's company history began in Memphis, Tennessee in 1994. Cordova Safety Products started as a small glove importing company and spent the next 18 years evolving into a full-line supplier of personal protective equipment (PPE). Led by its founders, Anita & Himanshu Varma, Cordova Safety continues to evolve and expand to meet the equipment needs of a wide range of companies. Cordova Safety has appeared eight times on Inc. magazine’s list of Fastest Growing Privately Owned Companies in America.
Great Selection of Products
In order to offer the vast and varied selection of products that Cordova provides, you need a big facility. Cordova Safety Products currently operates out of a 600,000 square foot warehouse on 39 acres in Memphis, Tennessee. This facility includes warehousing with 32-foot ceilings and 95 dock doors—plenty of room to store the variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) products available. Customers working with Cordova can confidently browse the Cordova Safety Products Catalog, knowing they will find most, if not all, of the PPE products they require. This is a great advantage for companies that want to avoid wasting time studying several catalogs to track down all the equipment they need for a project. The selection at Cordova allows it to be a one-stop shop for customers who want convenience without sacrificing quality of equipment.
Cordova Safety Products' wide range of hand protection items is now complemented by an ever-expanding variety of safety eye wear, rain wear, disposable clothing, safety vests, high-visibility apparel, respirators, earplugs, helmets, back support belts, barricade tape, and safety fencing. All products are manufactured with the needs of the customers in mind.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, all workers, whether temporary or permanent, have the right to a safe and healthy workplace. Cordova Safety Products assists employers in maintaining this standard by providing several options and a wide selection of safety equipment products. With the help of Cordova Safety, employers can easily provide temporary workers with the same standard of equipment as permanent employees performing similar work. Cordova makes the process of creating and sustaining a safe and healthy workplace easier for employers, and ensures all workers feel confident they have the right equipment to protect them on the job.
Quality Materials and Craftsmanship
Different jobs require different levels of protection. Quality materials and craftsmanship are an arena where Cordova sets itself apart. They understand that the quality and performance of PPE is what makes any item—from work gloves to earplugs—stand out from the rest in the marketplace and become a “best seller.” These are the products that make a name for themselves in the industry because they are durable and do the job they are designed to do.
Customers needing quality equipment that provides high levels protection from work hazards without sacrificing comfort and dexterity are treated to a multitude of choices. Cordova caters to all protection needs, including equipment for jobs that are considered lower risk. Customers who need lightweight protection (such as protection against common oils, water exposure, and animal fats) will also find a variety of suitable equipment options for their employees.
Whether it's insulated gloves for high heat welding, thermal gloves for cold applications, Kevlar sleeves to protect against cuts and sparks, or lightweight latex gloves for food industry applications, Cordova is dedicated to making sure that all customers have the best quality products needed for the job.
Customer Satisfaction Is #1
Cordova Safety Products prides itself on customer satisfaction, and that dedication shows up in every project and client relationship. Peers in the occupational health and safety arena are taking notice as the company continues to strengthen its reputation as a top performer. Just last year, the company was awarded a Peak Performer Award by Safety Marketing Group and portrayed the required “best in class” traits to be named a top 5 performer at the awards conference at Buena Vista Hotel & Spa in Orlando.
