Confined Space Gas Detection for Construction Workers and Contractors

Date: May 09, 2024 | Time: 13:00 pm EST
Confined space accidents kill hundreds of workers every year in the USA and Canada. Many of the worst accident occur because of dangerous atmospheric conditions. OSHA requires use of a permit system to control confined space entries and ensure worker safety. OSHA has strict requirements for the testing and use of real time atmospheric monitors as well. The webinar will present an overview of the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.146 “Permit-Required Confined Spaces” and 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA: “Confined Spaces in Construction.” The webinar will discuss the options for entry into Permit Required Confined Spaces, program requirements, gas detection requirements, and how to ensure the instruments you use are fit for the purpose. The webinar uses a questioning process to help confined space managers and workers through series of questions to identify needs and requirements, and opportunities to improve worker safety.
