Gas Detection Solutions for the Cannabis Industry

In this webinar we will examine gas detection issues and answers for the licensed cannabis industry from the standpoint of growers, extractors, inspectors and emergency responders. Cannabis “grow operations” involve use of carbon dioxide that can displace oxygen, while “extraction” operations use gases like propane and butane, as well as methanol, ethanol and other solvents. Odor control and measurement is often an additional concern.

Regulations require use of fixed gas detection systems to guard against hazardous explosive, toxic and oxygen deficient conditions in greenhouses as well as extraction rooms. Inspectors who periodically enter facilities as part of the licensing process, and emergency responders entering a facility after an accident are potentially at risk from these same hazards. Understanding, choosing and using the correct portable instruments is vital to their safety as well.
