She is an advisor to the Capitals Coalition, the former chair of the Center for Safety and Health Sustainability, published author on global environmental, safety and health management and sustainability, global leader in ISO 45001, past president and fellow of the American Society of Safety Professionals, fellow of the British Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, member of the GRI 403:2018 Occupational Safety and Health standard project working group and appointed to the US National Academy of Science, Gulf Research Program Risk Committee. Anne Gardner-Aston is the HSE Leader and Managing Partner of Safety Positive Consulting.
Anne Gardner-Aston is an experienced HSE Leader and Strategic H&S Consultant. She started her career in 1996 as an Environmental Health Officer but soon specialised within the field of occupational health and safety, holding positions as a consultant, Head of Operational Safety & Health for the Metropolitan Police, and Group H&S Director for Places for People.
She has a particular passion for people-centred H&S and now works with organisations to design forward-thinking H&S strategies and governance frameworks which encourage staff to be part of the solution to OSH issues.
As well as holding a degree in Environmental Health, she holds a MSc in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management and a Post Graduate Certificate in Disaster Victim Identification. She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and a Graduate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health.
Has presented on safety management topics at conferences in the UK, Canada, Dubai and Germany.
