Nicholas Bryant is Verona Safety’s Sales Manager for the Midwest Territory and has 10+ years in the safety industry. Nick’s knowledge base as it relates to safety and PPE is wide ranging, but his passion and expertise lies in Fall Protection (including tool tethering), and Hand Protection.
At present, Nick is Competent Person Certified by 3M Fall Protection (formerly DBI/Sala), and routinely conducts equipment inspection and training for his customer base. In addition, he assists customers who want to get ahead of the coming ANSI standard on tool tethering and objects at heights with program design and implementation.
Nick is also a glove nerd who strives to educate customers on hand and arm protection. The training he has received from numerous glove manufacturers as it pertains to the different materials, coatings, and blends, a thorough understanding of ANSI vs EN ratings, and their testing methods; allows him to offer a comprehensive glove plan to his customers that is not simply based on arbitrary numbers but on actual need.
Nick also sits on the Safety Committee for the ABC of Wisconsin. This platform offers insight and discussion to the new OSHA and ANSI standards that are coming down the line well in advance of their implementation dates. This knowledge base allows for better communication with end users in assisting with long term safety planning and goal setting. In addition Nick conducts training/informational seminars for the ABC of Wisconsin at their annual SuperCon.
Nick does not believe in the tele-sales approach to safety that is becoming more commonplace in the industry. As a dedicated safety professional, he looks to make the job of his customer easier by providing the necessary information, product knowledge, and expertise to help them achieve OSHA compliance and meet/exceed company standards. His likes to say he is his customer’s web site and catalog. On a fun note, Nick also organizes Verona Safety’s annual customer appreciation golf outing; The Verona Safety Classic for Duffers and Hacks, which brings end users and manufactures together for a day of golf, peppered questions, and outright foolishness. Perhaps his proudest achievement.
