To set up your computer chair, push your hips as far back as they can go in the chair, adjust the height of the seat so that your feet are flat on the floor, and adjust the back of the chair to a 110 reclined degree angle. Adjust the arms supports to a position where your shoulders are relaxed.

Pull yourself up close to your keyboard. The keyboard should be positioned directly in front of your body. The part of the keyboard that you use most often should be directly in front of you. The height of the keyboard should ensure that you shoulder are relaxed and your wrists are straight.

The monitor of your computer should be centred directly in front of you, with its top about three inches above your seated eye level. Position yourself about an arm’s length away from the screen. Any source documents that you need should be positioned in front of you. The phone should also be within easy reach. Use a headset and a speaker phone to avoid having to hold the handset.

Every thirty minutes take a 1-2 minute break from the computer. Rest and refocus your eyes regularly.
