First Aid for Fleet Vehicles & Remote Workplaces

Work is not always at the home office or facility, first aid and emergency response solutions are needed where the work is being completed. We’re going to discuss solutions for fleet vehicles and remote work places. We will also briefly cover some ANSI 2021 updates! Join Josh Holmes of First Aid Only, to get a better understanding of how best to respond to emergency situations in remote workplaces.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Employers are responsible for ensuring the availability of medical personnel, advice, and consultation, as well as adequate first aid supplies in the workplace.
  2. OSHA has updated its regulations for first aid kits in the workplace, with the latest update announced in April 2021 and going into effect in October 2021.
  3. The 2021 update to the OSHA regulations includes adding specific supplemental products to first aid kits, such as a tourniquet, a thermal blanket, and additional hand sizes of gloves.
  4. This webinar emphasizes the importance of having supplemental bleeding control solutions available in first aid kits, as external bleeding can be life-threatening and requires immediate action.
  5. It is essential to regularly check and restock first aid kits and replace any expired or used items. First aid kits should be located in easily accessible areas, and employers should ensure their employees know the location of the first aid kit and how to use it.
