What Does CE Rating Mean?

The CE Rating is a mark designating that a product meets safety, health, and environmental protection standards for the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE Rating can also be seen in the products manufactured in the EEA, but sold in other territories as well. The designation was introduced by the Council Directive in 1993.

Products that meet the CE Rating requirements can be marked by the manufacturer or an authorized representative. The CE marking must be at least 5mm.
