What Does Organic Food Mean?
Organic foods are those which are grown in safe soil, have no modifications, and remain separate from conventional products. They have not had any synthetic pesticides used on them, nor have they been subjected to bioengineered genes (GMO's), petroleum based fertilizers, and sewage-sludge based fertilizers. To be classified as organic, livestock must have access to the outdoors and be fed using organic food.
Safeopedia Explains Organic Food
Organic foods have a number of benefits. Studies reveal that they contain more beneficial nutrients than conventionally grown crops. People who have allergic reactions to foods, chemicals or preservatives have found that their symptoms are reduced when they switch to an organic diet. Organic food is often fresher than non-organic, and organic produce is often produced on small farms that are located close to the point of sale.
