What Does Fossil Fuels Mean?

Fossil fuels are fuels which are formed by natural processes of decomposition within the earth. They are formed from decomposed animals or plants by an anaerobic kind of decomposition. This process is theorized to take many millions of years and, thus, fossil fuels are considered a non-renewable resource.

Fossil fuels include oil, coal and natural gases etc which are burned for energy. Fossil fuels are one of the main sources of energy that is used by humans. Without the use of fossil fuels, we would not have the ability to perform many of the everyday tasks we take part in today including things like driving a vehicle. Almost everything we do today and most of the products we use are made from or require fossil fuels for use.
