Gary is an engineer with a Masters’ degree in Business Administration. He is also a respected Complexity Facilitator.
Gary has over 45 years of experience, beginning in the electric utility industry where he worked in engineering, line operations, corporate consulting, and training roles. He later joined Ernst & Young Consulting (now Capgemini Consulting) as a Senior Manager in Strategy & Transformation.
Gary has run his own independent consulting practice over the past 15 years focusing on complexity thinking and safety. Gary is a regular contributor to Safety Differently. He is a trained practitioner with Cynefin Company dating back to 2008. He also co-developed the anthro-complexity approach to safety.
Gary and his family reside in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
