About this webinar:
Oil and gas workers face a variety of upstream hazards while on the job. Chemicals used in the drilling process can pose a risk of exposure, and impact hazards are present when working with heavy machinery or pipes. Flash fires can occur when flammable gases are released during production, and exposure to extreme temperatures can lead to fatigue, heat stroke, or frostbite. Cut hazards are also present when handling tools. In addition, falls and drops are a significant hazard on drill rigs, which are often over 13 feet high.
There's also a number of hazards on the downstream side.
Oil and gas refining is a complex and potentially dangerous process. Workers are exposed to a wide variety of chemicals that can have long-term effects on their health. In addition, there is a risk of fire and explosion due to the flammable nature of the products being processed. Other hazards include impact and abrasion injuries from heavy machinery, electrical shocks, and thermal burns from hot surfaces. Most of these hazards can be minimized through the use of proper PPE and working procedures. However, accidents can still happen, so it is important for workers to be aware of the dangers and know how to protect themselves.
The purpose of this webinar is to give the viewer:
- an overview to some of the most common hazards associated with the Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas Markets
- an understanding of the most common challenges related to hand and body protection PPE programs in both markets
- an understanding of how your partnership with Ansell and their ability to utilize AnsellGuardian® as a solution can help solve common PPE program problems.
